Through careful testing of the Stock ECU and Aprilia Race ECU calibrations, we were able to find 32 power maps and limiters holding back the otherwise stout 205HP powerplant.
As tested on 650IB’s personal 2020 Aprilia Factory 1100.
He has been through many different tuning providers and agreed to bring the bike to us to develop an extraordinary file. With full in person datalogging in our closed dyno cell, we were able to find what the engine really liked and disliked. Through careful logging of ignition timing, per cylinder fueling and thermal management limiters, we were able to write an excellent file that is powerful in all temperatures and covers all octanes. The engine is an extreme powerhouse. With 199WHP on the stock computer, 205WHP on the Aprilia Race ECU, our power numbers aligned with many dyno’s that IB himself has brought the bike to for power verification. After reviewing the stock and Race ECU data, we were able to determine some impressive improvements could be found with time invested in a proper calibration. We were able to get larger gains under the curve and top-end improvements on 93 and MR12. Check out the same day testing (look below) of Racing ECU vs BT 93 vs. BT MR12 – the highest horsepower stock motor bike ever to hit the BrenTuning DynoJet, even more than the V4R tuned on MR12.
Our Stage 1 RSV4 1100 Factory ECU flash converts the bike to full “Alpha-N” fueling and utilizes the factory oxygen sensors for precise fuel corrections on and off throttle. Improvements in throttle response, rideability, cruising and of course, power, were all immediately apparent. Limiters raised for racing and road course use where you need to extend gears. 205MPH is found on the factory GPS meter with ease.
ADVANTAGES WITH STAGE 1
- On average, gains of 7–14HP from the midrange and up were found over the baseline on a typical exhaust/filter bike with 93 octane fuel in the tank (Larger gains with race fuel)
- Early Fan-On – At 200 degrees, your Aprilia starts to pull power from the engine. We change this to 185 degrees to avoid this power loss in stop and go traffic
- Changes to fueling including part, mid and full-throttle while in Alpha-N configuration per cylinder
- Optimization of ignition timing at part and mid throttle for all fuel qualities
- Adjustments to torque limiting to allow the bike to make 100% of its available engine torque at high load
- Changes to rev limiter per-gear tables for widest and safest possible powerband as the factory 1100 cuts short in lower and upper gears
- Aggressive adjustments to engine braking along with decel fueling for road course use
- Changes in factory unstable engine idle for stability and consistency off-throttle
- Changes to a full 100% throttle opening in all modes, versus a limited table
- Gains throughout the whole curve on all fuel qualities with no loss in power anywhere on the RPM band
- Changes to ABS, DTC, and wheelie intervention for more available power and control for a performance oriented rider
- Racing ECU base upgrades are standard and included
- We recommend dropping a tooth in the front sprocket or up 2 in the back sprocket for best performance

Storing multiple maps means you’re able to flash for different fuels. If you’re a serious track competitor, we can work with you to get you different mapping for different tracks. If, for example, you’re add an exhaust to your stock bike, we can email you a file that takes the new exhaust into account with the changes you need to optimize your bike’s new modifications.
GO BACK TO STOCK ANYTIME – Not only can you store multiple race maps, you can also flash the original, stock file back into the bike at any time and for any reason.
