Tune/Diagnose/Service your OWN Aprilia RSV4 with our new handheld tuning device developed by BrenTuning! More than just a tune, this device will transform your riding and ownership experience completely!

Through careful testing of the stock and Race ECU calibration we were able to find 22 power maps and limiters holding back the otherwise stout 180HP powerplant. Our Stage 1 RSV4 ECU flash converts the bike to full alpha-N fueling and utilizes the factory O2 sensor for precise fuel corrections on and off throttle.

Benefits:

-Early Fan-On.  At 195 degrees, your Aprilia starts to pull power from the engine. We lowered the “fan-on” temperature to 185 degrees to maintain maximum power at all times.

-Changes to fueling including part, mid and full throttle while in AlphaN configuration.

– Optimization of ignition timing at part and mid throttle for all fuel qualities (91/93Octane, 95/98RON, MR12).

– Adjusts to torque limiting to allow the bike to make 100% of it’s available engine torque.

– Changes to rev limiter per gear tables for widest and safest possible powerband (optional).

– Aggressive adjustments to engine braking along decel fueling for road course use.

– Changes in factory unstable engine idle for stability and consistency off throttle.

– Changes to a full 100% throttle opening in all modes, verses a limited table. Receive 100% throttle sooner in the powerband as well for added torque and response in the midrange.

– Gains throughout the whole curve on all fuel qualities (most available on race fuel), no loss in power anywhere.

– Changes to ABS, DTC, and wheelie intervention for more available power and control for a performance oriented rider.

Huge improvements have been found on our in-house Mustang MD500 Dyno. On average, gains of 14HP were found over the Race ECU baseline on a typical full exhaust/filter bike on 93 octane fuel. Even larger gains were found using race fuel!

Improvements in throttle response, ride-ability, cruising and of course, POWER were all immediately apparent. Limiters raised for racing and road course use where you need to extend gears.

Our handheld tuning device is easy to use and allows you to tune your motorcycle from anywhere in the world! A simple 15 minute read process and couple emails back and fourth will have you up and running in no time. You can choose from Original OEM tune (race ECU included), BrenTuning pump gas and BrenTuning race fuels tunes all included at no additional charge. This product has been developed for most popular exhaust systems available. Most importantly, you can re-calibrate the TPS for service and read/clear DTC trouble codes without visiting the dealer or using a separate module. Why mail your expensive and delicate Aprilia ECU across the world for a canned tune, only to have to trailer the bike to a dealer for a TPS reset? The competition wants you to datalog the bike 5th gear wide open on the street! No need for that when we have already done the leg work and developed proper mapping for every fuel and level of modification. You want to enjoy the bike not spend time collecting data. You simply flash the bike and reset the TPS from the comfort of your own garage. We offer in-house custom dyno tuning as well for full optimization.

 

 

 


THE BRENTUNING HANDHELD TUNER

 

 

WHAT IS A HANDHELD TUNER AND WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING ONE?

 

Thoroughly tested by our own engineers, not just for its function but also durability.  We purposefully dropped this thing about 100 times just to make sure if you accidentally dropped it, it would still be a usable device.

 

So why buy it when you can just send in your ECU for flashing and spend less?
Let’s see the breakdown.

 

NO DOWNTIME – No need to send in your ECU or remove it from your bike at all.  You order the handheld, it gets delivered to you, you flash your bike.  You never miss a day of riding and no effort removing the ECU.

STORE MULTIPLE MAPS – When you send in your ECU, you only get one map.  You might be thinking, “why would I need more than one map?”.  Storing multiple maps means you’re able to flash for different fuels.  If you’re a serious track competitor, we can work with you to get you different mapping for different tracks.  If, for example, you’re add an exhaust to your stock bike, we can email you a file that takes the new exhaust into account with the changes you need to optimize your S1000RR’s new modifications.

GO BACK TO STOCK ANYTIME – Not only can you store multiple race maps, you can also flash the original, stock file back into the bike at any time and for any reason.

READ AND CLEAR ENGINE FAULTS – If for some reason you have an engine light, you’re able to plug in our handheld tuner and read the codes from it.  Using the codes you’re able to determine the issue with the bike.  Sometimes these codes make the Engine Light come on.  Even after the issue is fixed the engine light can stay on for a dealer to clear or stay on for a certain amount of key cycles.  The handheld can clear these codes.  As long as the issue is fixed, the handheld will eliminate the engine light.

 


 

**** Our handheld tuning device requires the use of a windows based computer. The handheld and the computer never need to be next to each other and the software is non-invasive. This means a desktop or work computer should be just fine. The file download for the software is around 60MB which you will have to download from the internet. If you do not have access to a windows computer, the internet or are not proficient with a computer and downloading / uploading things from the internet, please consider our mail in ECU tuning service. ****

**** Two fuel options/maps are available with your purchase, we can do a low octane and high octane option, if you have additional requests they can be included at an additional $100/per map fee, this can cover additional fuel qualities or modification sets. ****

**** Please for best results, make sure your motorcycle has been updated at the dealer to newest software available before purchase. If the bike is under warranty, this will be a free update. If the bike is out of warranty they will charge (1) hour labor to do this. This will avoid any issues with future updates (for the most part) and avoid us having to remap the bike for new software. A $100 remap fee will be charged for new mapping after a dealer updates your ECU. Please always put the handheld back to stock before bringing to the dealer for any updates, to avoid unlocking charges on the handheld. ****
