Introducing our inaugural flash for the 2020+ BMW F 900 R / XR! Utilizing our decade of experience and research into the BMW ECU’s has helped us A LOT to develop the 2020 F 900 Stage 1 Flash. US and European model S1000RR’s have been restricted from the factory, with the US models having some of the worst restrictions we have ever seen.

What’s Being Restricted?

  • Throttle Restriction – Throttle is restricted and has a lazy feel on tip-in riding along with loss of power in certain gears / RPM’s
  • Fueling – The 2020 BMW F 900 R / XR fueling is set rich from the factory and needs adjustment
  • Ignition Timing – Restricted ignition timing brings the R / XR down on power
  • RPM Limiter – The stock RPM limiter cuts power off too soon in the powerband
  • Top Speed Limiter – Heavily restricted from the factory
  • Twist Grip Throttle – Tip-in can feel lazy
  • Rideability – The R / XR doesn’t feel smooth enough in normal riding conditions
  • Hot – Fan-on temp set to 212 degrees from the factory
  • Startup Issues – Bike may sound like it’s struggling on startup

What Do We Do To Fix These Issues?

  • Throttle Restriction – We remove the throttle restrictions across the board (68% to 100%) to give you the riding experience and power you wanted from the factory (depending on software version)
  • Throttle Per Gear – Throttle per gear limiter moved from 71% to 100% (depending on software version)
  • RPM Limiter – We moved the limiter to 9,600RPM to maximize your powerband
  • Fueling – We program the F 900 R / XR to target a better AFR (Air/Fuel Ratio) to make a little more power along with fixing drivability and idle issues
  • Ignition Timing – Timing corrected to maximize power at 100% throttle
  • Top Speed Limiter – Top speed limiter increased from 135mph to 170mph
  • Twist Grip Throttle –  Tip-in increased by 5% to make the bike feel more lively when rolling into the throttle
  • Rideability – Corrected for all weather conditions to ride smoothly
  • Hot – Fan-on temp set to 195 degrees from 212 degrees
  • Startup Issues – Smooth startup and idle
