A direct answer to the competition, our Euro+ Flash offers the same features and more.. at a discounted rate. Widely known, the Euro software for the 2020+ S1000RR is a much better file than the 2020 USDM S1000RR Flash. Due to different throttle openings and other changes, the terrible 2-5th gear lag that US bikes suffer from is virtually non-existent in the Euro spec bikes. While some in the market are claiming their flash is a “full tune” or the “best on the market”, while working with some notable social media influencers, we figured it would only be fair to our customer base to offer a map that offers the same features and more. In addition to just fixing the 2-5th gear throttle lag, we can also take care of your DTC for full exhaust so no additional modules or add-ons are needed.  HOWEVER, we do recommend our //M+ or Stage 1 Flashes for full exhaust customers for proper fueling, or those looking to maximize their S1000RR.

 

What Do We Need From You?

Unlike our competitors, we do not need your key or ignition (immobilizer).  We just need your ECU to perform this flash, that’s it.  The ignition removal can be time consuming and dangerous (if put back together incorrectly).

 

What Is Stage //EURO+?

US model S1000RR’s have been restricted from the factory, with the US models having some of the worst restrictions we have ever seen on a BMW liter bike short of the 2017+ BMW K1600. These restrictions are due to many factors; insurance, safety and noise regulations. Stage //EURO+ was developed to remove these restrictions and unlock your S1000RR’s full potential.

 

– Throttle Restriction

There are HEAVY throttle restriction with the worst offender being the US model. Take a look at the photo below. You can see a comparison to the US and NON-US throttle table. Reading the top of the graph from left to right is RPM. Reading the left side of the graph from top to bottom is the gear. You can see “1.00” and “2.00” etc. “1.00” means gear number “1”. This graph reads the US and NON-US model first through sixth gear restrictions. The values inside represent OEM throttle opening percentage. Let’s look at the US model, 2.00 (second gear), first value to the left — That’s 40% throttle!! This is why we see a lot of complaints from US S1000RR owners about the bike “feeling like a 600” in the mid-range for second, third and fourth gear. Second gear will feel like a 600, third gear feels like a 750, and fourth is more like a Ducati 959!

 

What Do We Do To Fix This Issue?

We remove the throttle restrictions across the board. We do not force load a European file/Eeprom as this has its own set of flaws and could force your bike to have an identity crisis or get you in trouble with BMW. This restriction is software based only and doesn’t require anything but a software modification on our side to remedy. As soon as you get your ECU back to your motorcycle, it will feel like a night and day difference from stock. In some gears the bike is missing almost 50HP and 40TQ! The EURO+ Flash is how your BMW S1000RR should feel from the factory. If you’ve ever ridden a 2020 S1000RR you know how fast and furious 6th gear feels compared to 2nd. Imagine that feeling in 2nd at low speeds. It’s wild.

See the photo below we took of a US model bike. The red lines represent the OEM throttle restriction and the blue lines represent our Stage EURO+ flash on the same motorcycle. The result is a huge gain in torque and horsepower in the mid-range. This is where the most complaints of the bike are which is now fixed. Testing done back to back on our dynojet.

 

 

– Exhaust Codes (Check Engine Light)

Compatible with full exhaust systems without the dreaded servo check engine light.  We turn this off so you don’t have to worry about changing your exhaust.  Our competition requires you purchase a “Servo Buddy” for their flash, we do it the correct way so you don’t need it.

 

– Diagnostically Invisible

This flash will not show up on current BMW diagnostic tools.  No coding or changes are made and the flash counter is not adjusted.

**Below are some graphical testing of different gears and scenarios we performed on our 2020 BMW S1000RR**

This is a HORSEPOWER only representation of our 100% stock 2020 BMW S1000RR.  The seperate colors represent different gears we overlayed on top of one another to show the restriction by gear.

Red = Second Gear
Purple = Third Gear
Green = Fourth Gear
Yellow = Fifth Gear

You can see how restricted the bike is in the lower gears but starts to open up in fifth and sixth gear.  Our flash eliminates these restrictions.

 

 

Below is the exact same test, but showing torque differences in 2nd-3rd-4th-5th gear on a stock USA 2020 BMW S1000RR bike.  The colors represented are the same as the above graph.

 

 

Below is a 2nd gear vs 6th gear pull (LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE IN LIMITERS!) on a stock USA 2020 BMW S1000RR bike.

 

 

Look below. To conclude our testing, a Sprint Air filter was installed in our 2020 BMW S1000RR and tested back to back. Back to back on the dyno in very hot conditions.  The red line represents the Sprint P08 filter test and the blue line represents the stock air filter.  No software changes were made during these dyno pulls.
