So not too long ago, an HP4 specific "performance" file was leaked and sold to a bunch of tuners through a website and those who didn't know better are copy and pasting this information into base model bikes.

I have seen some posts recently of other tuners and people getting a hold of this file and selling it or putting it into bikes thinking HP4 > base bike without understanding the full architecture of the ECU. Even though they are both BMSK8’s, much of the information does not transfer over, while some does.
While some of the tables work well, and are upgraded from the base bike, such as knock control OFF (I will revisit this below) and fueling air mass specific to the HP4 exhaust with link pipe, many of them are HP4 specific and are non-transferable. This does not work on ANY other exhaust system and most of the shorty system bikes have a lean miss at part throttle and are too rich at full throttle.
However most importantly when put onto a non-HP4 bike, consequences can result in a mild stumble or power cut, to a moderate throttle shut down, and flat out stalling of the bike at high speed. This could result in a host of issues, including lean angle, hard throttle cut out, and loss of power globally on multiple cylinders. While this map creates awesome engine breaking, it makes rain and sport mode result in an instant limp mode because the map location and load logic are completely different on the HP4 as demonstrated below for Rain/Sport.
