Our Flash tool conveniently does all of this from your home with a simple and easy to use handheld and basic windows computer knowledge. The handheld tuner holds multiple maps for different modification sets, type of riding or fuel quality, you are able to swap these maps at any time with just the handheld, no laptop after the initial tuning process is needed. Additional map updates are available to the customer as advancements in the platform are found and can be pushed through to the customer via email.
As the originator of bringing the PowerGate3 (PG3) flash tool to the Aprilia market, we have combed through every last inch of how to make smooth effective power with this motorcycle without the need for piggyback ECU’s, generic race mapping or sending your ECU to another country where it could get lost or damaged. We also lowered the pricing for this product for 2019 to make it that much more attractive to the Aprilia market.
When doing our market research, we found other tuning solutions offered generic fuel, ignition and torque maps that were suitable for 1-3 additional horsepower in our testing. While most in the community seemed satisfied with these options, we dug in with many hours of R&D to see what we could maximize from a value standpoint, this took our tune to another level of sophistication over the plentiful copy /paste server files. We also offer error code solutions for custom track motorcycles and is part of our tuning questionnaire. Here is a sample of some additional tuning strategies to offer a more enjoyable complete at-home and removable solution for all Aprilia bikes with our V2 mapping.
Injector Phasing:
Removing the midrange and low end sluggishness of the V4 motor
Modifying the torque control / model to suit and sustain the additional power the engine will be making (and not learning it out)
Removal of the mid to high rpm torque limiter on the Tuono bikes that is worth 5-6WHP alone with no other tuning.
