For The 2017-2019 BMW S1000RR / R / XR
While the 2017-2019 looks fairly similar from the exterior – what it brings to the table is what you cannot see. The electronics and ECU are what make this engine extremely powerful and torquey with a host of new part numbers and engine changes. This bike is a great liter bike to have, and while modifying previous years is great, the 2017-2019 has potential to out-muscle all other years when de-restricted and calibrated properly with far less modification on a 100% stock motor.
WHAT YOU GET WITH STAGE 1
- 12WHP on 93 octane and 17WHP on MR12 (higher or lower is possible depending on fuel quality and modifications)
- Remove 80% WOT (wide-open throttle) limiter
- Better Air/Fuel Ratio
- Modifications to Ignition tables
- Adjust torque model to align with new power of bike and limiter removal
- Adjusting dynamic maps and modes for optimal performance
- Air mass, idle, part/full throttle and Lambda correction maps for all exhausts
- Base, limiter, optimum ignition, optimum angle, correction maps
- Removal of top speed limiters
- RPM limiter raised for maximum performance
- Shorter up and downshift dead times for maximum driveability and acceleration
- Ignition/fuel calculation for maximum performance and response for upgraded fuel qualities

By far the best flash I’ve ever done! They weren’t lying when they said this is the most powerful s1k to date, my 2017 made 205 hp and 90 ft lbs on 91! 8 more ponies than my 2016 s1k with bt flash.
The throttle response is instant & smooth, the quick shift is lightning fast, mid range and top end are noticeably urgent, it runs cool, and I love the speedo unlock add on.

OK I was very pleased with the whole operation and rapid turnaround. Chris helped me through the process and answered my dumb questions with patience. Here are Bren’s claims, along with my comments:
Quantifiable differences over a stock or piggy back bike:
– Drastically improved throttle / engine response at all throttle angles with a great highway cruise range. – Absolutely
– Drastically decreased delay times in short shifter response on both up and downshift. Huge improvement and one of our customers favorite features. – Yes
– Removed bottom end dead spot in low RPM range. – Yes
– Heavy increase in top end power via limiter removal. Especially noticeable between gears. Too chicken to test 😁
– Smoother powerband. – Yes
– Full restriction removal for enjoyable and predictable experience. – Again too chicken!
– Diagnostic invisibility. – GS911 looks stock
– Best bang for your buck upgrade. – Agreed
Also, it seems to give me ~2mpg increase!
