As soon on our own 2020 BMW S1000RR, this stock replacement chain will you to extend the wheelbase of your stock S1000RR. Extending the wheelbase is a must for people looking to drag race. The further back the rear tire is, the harder the motorcycle is to wheelie. The more power you can put down without lifting the front tire, the faster you’ll go.
The stock wheelbase of the 2020+ BMW S1000RR is 56.7 inches. This modification opens the wheelbase up to 58.25 inches. You may think the results would be insignificant but it really changes how well the motorcycle can put the power down without lifting the front tire. The stock chain is not long enough to move the tire all the way to the end of the swing arm adjustment. This is why we changed over to a EK Three-D Chain. We still have stock sprockets on the motorcycle. The only thing you will need to change for this modification is the chain itself. If you are aiming to do what we did to our motorcycle, please also purchase our front strap kit (AVAILABLE HERE) and a lowering link for the rear that will be available soon once we have more testing time. This will maximize your results. This chain will need to be shortened a few links and we recommend professional installation.
