KTM SuperDuke R / GT / Adventure R / S 1290 from scratch the BrenTuning Moto way!

We have studied the KTM engines and software for a while, looking for changes,  additional power  and features customers are would desire.

We wanted to have an OEM+ solution. In other words, no piggybacks, no add-ons, no deletion of unnecessary items and something that’s able to revert back to stock quickly for resale; or if a customer changes their mind.  Everything currently on the market was too arduous with no going back to stock in a quick manner.

  • No power robbing intake trumpets
  • Extra rev -range for longer acceleration and less shifts for the track / canyon focused
  • Factory fit and finish, OEM+
  • Completely plug-and-play and customized for any mod combination

The KTM 1290 in stock format isn’t very restricted, lean, rich, nor under-timed. The tune itself isn’t going to be a powerhouse on the dyno like other bikes in the market that often have 60% throttle restrictions at wide-open throttle. While still a stock bike, including tune, you should feel a drastic change in rideability and rev-range.  With modifications we can extract larger power gains. (See below)

WHAT WE OFFER

We offer three stages of tuning.  Each stage has the same cost.  The only difference would be what mods you have.  Don’t worry about selecting a stage now.  We will look at your mod list and select a stage for you.  See below for details and power figures.

STAGE 1

Stage 1: 100% stock or drop-in filter Sprint P08, Exhaust valve intact, stock sensors intact, ECU Calibration. Stock exhaust can or slip-on only.

STAGE 2

Recalibration for stock or drop-in filter Sprint P08, Full system, 3/4 pipe or OEM Akrapovic system, stock sensors intact. Note: Austin Racing (or other very short bottom exit systems) without baffle in the tip will idle hunt regardless of fueling due to lack of back-pressure. We recommend baffle in or to love your new lumpy idle.

STAGE 3

Racing only: Recalibration for Full system, 3/4 pipe or OEM Akrapovic system. Rottweiler airbox kit with long or short stacks, SAS, No exhaust valve, Dongles on or dongle off. Note: Austin Racing (or other very short bottom exit systems) without baffle in the tip will idle hunt regardless of fueling due to lack of back-pressure. We recommend baffle in or to love your new lumpy idle.

NOTE: Power between Stage 2-3 is similar with the exception of the airbox kit, however the Rottweiler airbox requires extensive install changes to make a few more HP then the Sprint P08 filter alone, so we offer both options.

DYNO PROVEN

RED = STOCK (152whp / 86wtq)
BLUE = FLASH ONLY (157whp / 90wtq)
GREEN = FLASH WITH EXHAUST (166whp / 94wtq)
ORANGE = FLASH WITH EXHAUST AND AIRBOX (170whp / 99wtq)
PURPLE = FLASH WITH EXHAUST, AIRBOX AND MR12 RACE FUEL (180whp / 104wtq)

**All in-house testing performed with 93 octane pump gas. Usage of a lower octane will yield smaller power gains.**

WHAT IS A HANDHELD TUNER AND WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING ONE?

Thoroughly tested by our own engineers, not just for its function but also durability.  We purposefully dropped this thing about 100 times just to make sure if you accidentally dropped it, it would still be a usable device.

So why buy it when you can just send in your ECU for flashing and spend less? Let’s see the breakdown.

NO DOWNTIME – No need to send in your ECU or remove it from your bike at all.  You order the handheld, it get’s delivered to you, you flash your bike.  You never miss a day of riding and no effort removing the ECU.

STORE MULTIPLE MAPS – When you send in your ECU, you only get one map.  You might be thinking, “why would I need more than one map?”.  Storing multiple maps means you’re able to flash for different fuels.  If you’re a serious track competitor, we can work with you to get you different mapping for different tracks.  If, for example, you’re add an exhaust to your stock bike, we can email you a file that takes the new exhaust into account with the changes you need to optimize your bike’s new modifications.

GO BACK TO STOCK ANYTIME – Not only can you store multiple race maps, you can also flash the original, stock file back into the bike at any time and for any reason.
